Exceptional Kids Rodeo

The Exceptional Kids Rodeo is for children who may be mentally or physically challenged. The DNCFR pairs children who have special needs with rodeo cowboys and cowgirls during this special event.
Children, who may not otherwise be able to, get the opportunity to participate in rodeo related activities that they would see in the arena when attending. While in the arena, the children ride horses, rope dummy steers, and ride bucking broncs and bulls (barrels placed on hay bales rocked back and forth). Each child can take their memories home with them. They are given items that they would associate with cowboys and rodeos, such as, cowboy hats, handkerchiefs, ropes, etc.
